Description
These delicate, short-stemmed plants open their star-like pastel blue flowers from March to August, but they are usually at their best in April and May.
In gardening, they make perfect plants in the shade or on a moist rockery. The plant is found throughout Portugal, The Azores, and many European countries.
Sow seeds at any time, covering them with compost to around 5mm deep, keeping the seed pot in a cool, well-lit spot outdoors. Grow the individual seeds in small pots until sufficient to be potted or planted into the open ground.
These flowers are perennials so that you can enjoy them season after season, and they will only get bigger each year.
